As we spend more time with our cats, we get a better understanding of what they like and what they hate.
Here are some things that most cats find annoying. Let’s see if your cat feels the same way.
Take a bath
Although bathing is not a problem for cats, it is clear that they are not interested in it.
Although they don’t put up a fight, you can read the discontent in their complaining meows.
Every time the cat takes a bath, it always seems unhappy, makes protest noises, and tries to escape from the bathroom.
And after the shower, the hairdryer session is even more unpleasant, because the noise of the hairdryer clearly makes them uncomfortable.
Still, I feel relieved.
Compared to some cats who completely resist bathing, my cat is doing pretty well.
Go to the hospital
Taking a cat to a pet hospital can be a challenging task. At least for my little cat, that’s true.
My cat is very shy and usually won’t go outside, let alone go to the hospital.
Whenever it needs to go to the hospital for medical examination or treatment, it becomes like another cat, becoming unusually quiet and nervous.
On weekdays, the little bully in the home, as soon as he arrived at the hospital, he revealed his true form and hid in the cat bag.
You can tell he’s terrified of hospitals.
As much as I hate to stress him out, regular check-ups are a must, so I can only put him through this unpleasantries once a year.
Stray cat
I don’t know if your cat is the same, but my cat has no interest in the outside cat.
Not only stray cats, as long as it is unfamiliar with cats, it does not seem to like.
Apparently, it is very territorial and any cat that may invade its territory becomes a thorn in its side.
However, the disgust it shows is not accompanied by aggression, but by fear.
Even if the heart is dissatisfied, but because of cowardice, can only choose to escape.
Knowing this, I try to avoid letting other cats near my house.
Dirty litter box
As a place for your cat to address its physiological needs, keeping the litter box clean is key to providing a comfortable toilet environment.
For many cats, a dirty litter box is intolerable.
If the litter box is too filthy, then the cat may choose to defecate next to the litter box or in other inappropriate places.
I’ve seen this in a lot of cats.
Fortunately, my cat has never been in such an awkward situation, because I clean the litter box twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
If you don’t want to clean the litter box and feel that the process is very dirty, you can try to buy a smart litter box, which is actually very convenient to use.
Loud noise
Oh, and there’s another thing that I’ve found objectionable to my cat: loud noises.
It really doesn’t like noisy environments, and sometimes the sudden noise can scare it half to death.
When I first started with cats, I didn’t realize this and used a vacuum cleaner a lot.
As a result, every time the vacuum cleaner is used, it will be frightened.
Later, I began to acclimate him before using the vacuum cleaner, shaking the vacuum cleaner in front of him to prepare him mentally.
Having done so, it no longer showed any signs of panic from being suddenly startled.
Those are the five things that most cats don’t like. Does your cat have the same reaction?
What are you doing to create a comfortable environment for your cat?
